Caulking
Once a log home has dried to the point of equilibrium, some caulking may be advisable. Typically, large
upward facing checks in exposed areas should be addressed
Depending on the method of door and window installation they may also need attention. In some cases,
especially older log homes, all log seams, butt joints, roof to wall connection, etc., should be caulked
to prevent heat loss and to keep bugs and critters out. |
